With a light and airy feel, Angelina’s “Timeless” feels like an instant classic. Vocals are sung straight from the heart with a tender, lovely delivery. By far the highlight of the album Angelina’s voice is downright heavenly. Stripping the arrangements down to the essentials, by refusing additional ornamentation the songs feel simply stunning. Nearly as expressive as her voice is the steady yet nimble guitar work. Over the course of the collection Angelina’s sound feels quite reassuring akin to visiting an old familiar friend
On “You Are So Beautiful” Angelina lets the song come into full bloom. Her voice contains a great deal of expression as the guitar accompanies her in the sweetest sort of style. Bluesy in nature is the laid-back vibe of “Georgia”. A long lost classic feel emanates from the piece as it unfurls ever so gently. “Moon River” moves by ever so quickly as the song creates a small narrative of sorts before it simply subsides. Moving things into a slower, more introspective approach is the hazy dream of “Summertime”. Downright luxurious with its deliberate pace the song has a quiet kind of funkiness to it. Comforting in nature is the jazz-like “Fly Me To The Moon”. Cyclical in its repetition is the devotion of “To Know Him Is To Love Him”. Bringing the collection to a close is the highlight of “You Know I’m No Good”. Easily the highlight of the collection Angelina’s vocal delivery is pitch perfect.
Emphasizing sincerity and style, Angelina’s “Timeless” is a downright beautiful piece of work.
