Smoke N Mirrors

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRESS RELEASE - NOVEMBER 3, 2015
MAD HAT RELEASES NEW SINGLE, ‘SMOKE N MIRRORS’

Earlier this past weekend, a Young N Reckless Music artist, Mad Hat, debuted his latest single,‘Smoke N Mirrors.’ Lots of interesting things can happen when hip-hop blends in with dark and eery aesthetics. This is definitely the case of Mad Hat, presenting his latest project, Madnificent published on Halloween. The song clocks in at slightly below the 3 minute mark, packing a lot of punch before the end. Pitch shifted vocals, lush synth melodies and great trap-influenced beats are some of the main characteristic of the song. A perfect Hip-Hop Halloween banger, “Smoke N Mirrors” showcases Mad Hat’s incredible talent for building soundscapes to a great lyrical flow. The project exists outside of the realm of mainstream red tape, and thus, focuses entirely on the expansion of a new generation of hip hop artists with unrivaled lyrical content that harnesses the core values of the music.

The label calls upon the great Gil Scott-Heron lyric as its mantra: ‘The Revolution Will Not Be Televised.’ Young N Reckless is about the creation of timeless art and poignant creativity; it’s not about the illusion of fame or money. The remarkably well-produced piece is indicative of what listeners are in store for when they delve into ‘Madnificent.’ Both the album and Smoke N Mirrors single are now available for free download on the labels website.

I really like to hear the new music that you post. At first, I thought I recognized this song, but that quickly changed once the lyrics started. I really like the overall beat.

These types of lyrics flow very well with the beat. I like how the voice sounds, like synthesized and such, that sort of adds to the Halloween creepiness.

I love new music from Young N Reckless. There has yet to be any of them that are not worth listening to at least ONE time.

Born and raised in Vegas, I have heard a lot of performers. The hip hop genre seems to be one that is crowded, but with hits like this, there is always room for one more.

The back-beats and lyrical flow is just perfect. I remember hearing about them awhile back from a friend and I have since forgotten about it. I came across a link on a friend's Facebook feed and just had to comment to say wow. Wooww! I am really digging this. I wish ya'll the best and hope to see you at the tops of the charts one day soon.

[/quote] Same here. I remember watching all kinds of new artists growing up. My father owned a small night club in Vegas so I spent many years there before he sold it and we all moved out of state. One of the biggest and most common "club players" were always hip-hop artists and rapers. There will never be a shortage for them but there is always a welcoming place somewhere :)

So where can I find the lyrics of this jam? It reminds me of the early 2000's with the rap game. I am not big on the "Wooo!" in the song but other than that, I am digging the song. Very well done Mad Hat.

I am going to be honest here. I am not a big fan of the voice breaking with auto-tune. I prefer to hear the voice as it is. I get why you went for this but I hated when T Pain did this ish and I don't like it here either. I may get hate for it but just saying.

The intro to this track is sick. I haven't heard anything quit like this some time. I am really digging the beat transition of the music and well as the lyrics. Very well done. At the 2;00 mark, that is one of my favorite parts cause it just switches it to a chill song. The kinda jam you can smoke to.

I started listening and I thought about Halloween almost immediately. haha Almost reminds me of some of Tech Nine's newer music. He does a lot of this creepy sounding track mixes. Either way, I am viben' with it. Keep it going fellas. Don't give up on the chase!

It was drawn out wayy too long. I was loven the track till dat point now I don't know how I feel about it. It kinda ruined it for me. I don't care if I catch heat for it but seriously, you pulled a Kayne and over drug the worst part of the song. Ain't good.

I am not big on this kinda beat but for some reason I am really feeling this one. The progression goes good and it slowly speeds up only to slow down. It is like one big verse which I am a fan of. Great work here dude, keep it up!

Parts of it are a bit hard to understand. Either way, from what I can hear good, it is a deep song. Great lyrics. Hats off to ya!
